It's almost time for the annual fundraiser I host to raise money in the Fight Against Breast Cancer. This year's event is called Cancer Sucks! and will be at the Wine Studio in Gig Harbor. There will be a Silent auction as well as prizes for the Most Supportive Costume and of course wine and beer too.
There are so many affected by cancer in general but Breast and Prostrate cancers are the one's I seem to focus on. There are a few in my family who have gone and are going through their own battles and it's always nice to show support in a way other than prayer. This year's proceeds will be split between two strong ladies in my life and the organization Save the Tatas, at the request of one of my donators, which funds cancer research, awareness, education and community service through their partnership with the Concern Foundation.
So come on down to the Wine Studio on October 30th with your "breast" friends and lets raise some money while having a whole lot of fun.

Anniversary All Over Again!
When I celebrated my 10 Year Anniversary in February, I had so much fun giving away valuable gifts to my friends and family, past guests and hosts! Whenever I can make someone's night with a freebie, I feel that glow of the PartyLite in my heart. Every April, for their anniversary (HINT!), PartyLite goes above and beyond to reward it's customers, and this year is no exception.
Normally, shoppers can get a little discount on their tealights by purchasing them 3 dozen at a time for only $25... this month, my hosts will receive 10 dozen tealights for only $10! WHAA-AAT?! (Yup, That's a HINT!)Yes, only hosting a party and ten bucks could set their home aglow with ambiance for the rest of the summer!
One of the reasons I'm prize hosting two Trivia Night sessions at the Wine Studio this month is because I want to give back to the owners for all of the fun memories they've helped me create, the friendships I've been fortunate enough to make, and all the event time and space they've offered me.
From now until the end of the month, anyone shopping online can enter Rich Perelli as their host and their order will count towards earning our friends some extra yummy decoration enhancement in the way of bookoo tealights :-)
Now, you know I like to give as much as possible when it comes to other peoples candles, so lucky for me, Rich and Kirsten are PartyLite Preferred Hosts. That means they earn 10% of party sales in free online spending money as well- and a huge sampler box of 40 tealights as well just for hosting in April (HINT!)
Its not too late to grab you a catalog party and collect some orders before Mother's day from your office. Of course, it can just be for fun, and not for your mother too... any reason is a good one to earn free hosting credit (HINT!)

Ladies Night AND PartyLite Trivia!
This Thursday the 3rd of April, I'll be cohosting the first Trivia Night at the Wine Studio in Gig Harbor! I'm really excited to be creating my PartyLite Anniversary Themed Trivia Questions. Found out today that a really good customer of mine has a birthday that night, too, so I'm thinking of a way to incorporate that into my questions... (HINT).
I've noticed Trivia Night has become a really popular event at many local digs. Maybe its the Hipster influence, but there's something really sexy about teams of people competing to prove how much they know about the most random subjects. Or maybe its just the obligatory team member with glasses that always seems to be seen? Glasses tend to make anyone look smart (HINT).
Speaking of glasses, Ladies Night specials mean $2 off a glass of wine, so I may have to arrive earlier than the 7pm start time lol. Ah, takes me right back to the good old days of going out every Thursday for Karaoke. Alas, I have given my singing a go at the Wine Studio before, and lets just say that will not- should not- be a repeat performance (HINT)!
Bring your girlfriends, and or other smart people, especially if they wear glasses, down to one of the most welcoming, make yourself at home places in the harbor this Thursday, and next, and the next one too while I'm at it, for Trivia Night! Prizes and glory await you (HINT)!

Anniversary Party Follow Ups
My Big 10 Year Anniversary party went even better than my wildest dreams could have imagined it could be... visiting with old friends, customers, and hostesses while sharing a bit of the new collection and handing out all of my old décor made the two night extravaganza one I will never forget! Tons of new memories, 9 parties booked for the rest of the year, and an expecially fun drawing for a $25 Gift Certificate won by non other than my dental assistant who wandered into my party quite by accident :-)

Save the Date!
I'm really excited to be hosting two nights of fun in February to celebrate my Tenth Year of selling PartyLite! Friday the 21st I'll be celebrating in Tacoma, and then the next night, The Wine Studio in Gig Harbor is letting me take over their space!
I would never have imagined that when I entered the door to my first party, hosted by my then-boyfriends cousin, that I was literally walking through the door to the next chapter in my life. This business has seen me through changing careers, relationships, and even vehicles! It's also seen a yearly change in home décor- after all, I love discounts, and I've never paid anything full price since I became a consultant :-)
Now it's time for me to give back, to all the hosts and guests who have become my friends. I laugh because I always feel so honored to be invited into someone's home, and when they act like they are honored to have me there... well its just a really nice feeling to be invited to become a part of their life after the party.
So now I have the task of going through all my back stock of decorations and wax and packaging all that up to be given away. Yes, I said it! I'll be giving away so much great stuff and that makes it all the more fun to be going through it. Of course there will be purchasing opportunities at my parties too, but everyone in attendance will be able to earn Celebration $$$s that they can use to buy giveaway goodies.
I love doing events like this and even though there is a lot of work that goes into it, it's always worth it when I hear an attendee comment, "Thanks for inviting me, it was so much fun!"
